Ren & Stimpy
Original production drawings (set of five) by John K depicting one of the most memorable moments from Ren & Stimpy, the "Happy-Happy Joy-Joy" sequence! Stimpy, despite his stupidity, appearently has a knack for inventing very strange but functional inventions. But does Ren appreciate this? Not when he's trying to read his newspaper, that's for sure. So Stimpy goes back to the drawing board to invent his most brilliant and demented invention: The Happy Helmet, a device which allows him to control his friends mind and turn him, at least temporarily, into a blissful idiot. This setup is amazing in that 5 key drawings have survived which depict the sequence of events before the "Happy Happy Joy-Joy" song is played. "What do you have behind your back!" shouts Ren! Within seconds the "Happy Helmet" is placed on his head by Stimpy, and Ren exlaims: "I must go do nice things!". Finally Stimpy returns home to make Ren even happier, and inserts the record for this manic song. An amazing sequence capturing the essence of this great cartoon. Blue/graphite pencil/ink on paper. Each sheet with Nickelodeon seal stamp.

Ren doesn't even know how to make a campfire, & tries rubbing two squirrels together. Breaking for refreshments, & wary of the lake water (beavers go in it), Ren opts for the jugged variety, only to find a submerged beaver therein. Ren succumbs to Beaver Fever, sprouting buck teeth a paddle tail. Cel has Nickelodeon seal. Signed by John K.
